I wear a lot of Bec & Bridge, so this was one of the shows that I was the most excited to see at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA). I had the chance to chat to Bridget (one half of the design duo) backstage before the show, where she described a collection that represented our exact way of life.
Inspired by a nomadic traveller who’s built her look over time while exploring the exotic corners of the globe, the collection had a strong bohemian vibe. Raw hems, shredded denims and soft chambrays brought the journey to life in a palette of indigo and patchwork blues. Sheer fabrics were teamed with woven metallic knits and textured linen, creating raw looks that could adapt naturally to any warm-weather destination. The life of a nomad had never looked so luxurious.
