I’d been carrying a snorkel and mask in my backpack for two weeks in preparation for Koh Samui. It had been way too long between dips and I was more than ready for some quality ocean time. I’d visited Koh Samui twice before, but this time I was going to see it in a whole different way. I was there with my buddy Rachel (AKA DJ Minx) on a Topdeck trip and we had a killer itinerary.
Rachel set the vibe for our trip by playing a set at ARKbar Beach Club – a super fun club on Chaweng Beach where I got to be her back-up dancer slash personal photographer slash woo girl. We ziplined through the jungle past waterfalls, dined on incredible seafood on the beach, rode in the back of utes singing Daryl Braithwaite songs to Norwegian backpackers (it’s a long story) and went island hopping out to Nangyuan Island where we jumped off rocks and went snorkelling.
